Contralateral Exploration in Girls With Unilateral Inguinal Hernia: Overtreatment, Metachronous Reoperation, and the Value of an Ipsilateral Sliding Finding

This study aimed to compare Shehata and FS techniques in cases of intra-abdominal testes undergoing two-stage laparoscopic orchiopexy using both clinical and objective outcomes. The primary aim was to compare composite clinical success at last follow-up, defined as absence of atrophy and absence of retraction, between techniques and to evaluate whether the effect of technique on success differed by preoperative position or distance (near vs distant).
