Shapefiles of Neotropical Euglossini distribution points and areas of endemism (3-degree and 4-degree).

This dataset provides geospatial shapefiles detailing the distribution of Neotropical orchid bees (tribe Euglossini) and their identified areas of endemism. It comprises 4,317 unique occurrence records, meticulously compiled from major biodiversity databases including the Moure Bee Catalogue, EUGCOMM, GBIF, and SpeciesLink. Areas of endemism were delimited using the NDM/VNDM software, applying two distinct grid cell sizes: 3-degree and 4-degree resolutions. This comprehensive dataset offers critical insights for biogeographical research, conservation planning, and understanding spatial patterns of biodiversity within the Neotropical region.
