A series of ladder polysiloxanes was prepared
by oxidation of the corresponding ladder polysilanes with
mCPBA (m-chloroperbenzoic acid), and their structures
were determined. Complete oxidation of all Si−Si bonds
was accomplished with a large excess of mCPBA using
long reaction times.
