资源简介:
Metagenomes were obtained from mixed liquor samples collected at nine full-scale Nereda aerobic granular sludge (AGS) wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), located across five European countries: England, the Netherlands, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. The WWTPs sampled were Dungannon, Cork, Midlands, Utrecht, Swindon, Clonmel, Manchester, Inverurie, and Dodewaard. These plants predominantly treat municipal wastewater and were selected based on their consistently high performance in carbon and nutrient removal over the past two years. On average, they achieved 96% removal of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), 95% of chemical oxygen demand (COD), 96% of nitrogen (N), and 86% of phosphorus (P). These criteria were used to target the core microbial communities responsible for stable and efficient COD and nutrient (N and P) removal in AGS systems.
