Tapirus bairdii Genome sequencing and assembly. Tapirus bairdii

For this project, we performed the complete genome sequencing of a wild specimen of Tapirus bairdii. The specimen has been studied in detail in the wild and has a documented life history. The genome was sequenced on a NovaSeq6000 system yielding 23 Gb of data. The genome was obtained on December 02, 2021. The analysis project is open to collaboration and is an effort of ENES-Morelia, UNAM, Mexico.
