Measurements of oceanic methane, nitrous dioxide and ammonium made during the Sea Vigil 27B research cruise as part of LOIS (RACS) in the Humber Estuary, UK, during November 1995

This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic methane and nitous oxide made by Jon Barnes and ammonium made by Reg Uncles during the Sea Vigil 27B research cruise in the Humber Estuary, UK, as part of the Land Ocean Interaction Study (LOIS) and Rivers Atmosphere Coastal Study (RACS). The cruise took place on 22nd November 1995 with the spatial coverage of +54N latitude and +0E longitude.

The data set consists of:
-10 measurements of the concentration of nitrous oxide (N2O) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography;
-10 measurements of the saturation of nitrous oxide (N2O) in the water column by gas chromatography and computation from concentration;
-10 measurements of the concentration of methane (CH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolced plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography;
-10 measurements of the saturation of methane (CH4) in the water column (dissolved phase), computed from concentration; and
-21 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate 0.4um phase) by filtration and colorimetric autoanalysis.
