Can Large Language Models Serve as Data Analysts? A Multi-Agent Assisted Approach for Qualitative Data Analysis

This dataset is part of our research on a multi-agent-based system designed to autonomously perform various types of qualitative data analysis. To validate the results generated by the proposed system, we conducted interviews with 25 researchers, performed analysis, and compiled the findings into this replication package. The replication package consists of three sheets: Selected Projects – This sheet contains the input dataset provided to the proposed system for analysis. System-Generated Results – This sheet presents the output produced by the proposed system, showcasing its autonomous qualitative data analysis. Researcher-Based Evaluation – This sheet documents the feedback from researchers, highlighting key challenges, system performance, and suggestions for improvement. This dataset serves as a benchmark for evaluating the effectiveness and reliability of autonomous qualitative data analysis systems. It can be used for further research, system validation, and comparative analysis in the field of qualitative research automation.
