report of two cases of neonatal and adult meningitidis caused by Escherichia coli non-K1. undefined

Two Escherichia coli non-K1 isolates caused meningitidis in an infant and in an adult but they were not detected by the film-array assay which targets only E.coli K1 isolates. Therefore, the aim of this study was the genomic characterization of these two non-K1 E.coli isolates in order to understand which genes could be responsible for blood brain barrier invasion.
