Person in the register of medical professions (MedReg)

In the field of medical professions, the federal government maintains the Register of Medical Professions (MedReg), the management of which is regulated by the Ordinance on the Register of University-Trained Medical Professions (MedBG). This ordinance contains the definitions of the registered entities and establishes the MedReg. Based on the revised Medical Professions Act, as of January 1, 2018, all university-trained medical personnel working in Switzerland must be registered in the Register of Medical Professions. MedReg is a publicly accessible online database containing information on licensed university-trained medical professionals. The register includes physicians, dentists, chiropractors, pharmacists, and veterinarians that are permitted to practice in Switzerland. The dataset contains extensive personal data on the specialists included. It also includes information on diplomas, continuing education titles, and licenses.
