Our study confirmed that DSD reduced the transcription level of HSPs in lungs of CLP rats by inhibiting the expression and nuclear translocation of HSF1 and HSF2, as well as the DNA binding activity of HSF, thereby inhibiting ERs to alleviate sepsis-induced lung injury. Overall design: Male SD rats were randomly divided into Sham, CLP, and DSD groups. The CLP and DSD groups underwent cecal ligation puncture for 12 hours, while the DSD group was oraly gavaged 3g/kg DSD before modeling. In the end stage, rats were euthanized and their lung tissue was preserved, and RNA was extracted for transcriptome analysis after rapid freezing in liquid nitrogen.
