The dataset from a group of paleoclimate simulations while control CO2 as 2,800 ppmv. We use fully coupled Community Earth System Model version 1.2.2 (CESM1.2.2) to simulate the climate evolution over the Phanerozoic Eon. The atmospheric component is the Community Atmosphere Model version 4 (CAM 4), operating at a resolution of 3.75° latitude × 3.75° longitude. In this dataset, we conduct fifty‐five time‐slice simulations at 10 Myr intervals, covering the period from 540 Ma to PI. Paleogeographic maps from the paleo‐digital elevation model (Scotese & Wright, 2018) are used as the lower boundary conditions. Solar radiation is linearly increased from 1302 W/ m2 at 540 Ma to 1361 W/ m2 at PI. Orbital parameters are set to the present‐day values. The CO2 in the set of simulations is fixed as 2,800 ppmv. Each simulation is run for several thousand years until equilibrium is achieved, and the mean state for the last 100 years is included in the dataset.
