This repository contains the results data for "Energy Imports and Infrastructure in a Carbon-Neutral European Energy System" from the TRACE and PyPSA-Eur workflows.

File inventory:

costs.csv: total system costs by component for all 352 scenarios (output of PyPSA-Eur)

supply_energy.csv: energy balances for all 352 scenarios (output of PyPSA-Eur)

metrics.csv: key system metrics for all 352 scenarios (output of PyPSA-Eur)

results.parquet: import costs (split by cost components) per exporter, importer, country, year, carrier and scenario (output of TRACE, input for PyPSA-Eur)

results.csv: same data as results.parquet in CSV format (output of TRACE)

networks.zip: PyPSA network files of a selection of scenarios discussed specifically in the paper (output of PyPSA-Eur, additional files available on request due to data size)

graphics.zip: Figures of the paper and supplementary material plus additional graphics in PDF and PNG format (outputs of TRACE and PyPSA-Eur).

config.20240826-z1.yaml: PyPSA-Eur configuration file for all 352 scenarios (input to PyPSA-Eur)

regions_onshore_base_s_115.geojson: shapefiles for onshore model regions (output of PyPSA-Eur)
