丽江2.4米光学天文望远镜隶属于中国科学院云南天文台丽江天文观测站,目前是我国及东亚地区口径最大的通用型光学天文望远镜,坐落在云南丽江高美古,地理位置:东经100°01′51″,北纬 26°42′32″,海拔3193米。这是一架地平式反射望远镜,具有卡塞格林焦点和耐氏焦点,主镜直径2.4米。得益于丽江观测站良好的天文观测条件和望远镜良好的光学质量,使得该望远镜可观测的暗弱天体的极限星等达25等。观测对象主要包括太阳系外行星、银河 系内恒星、邻近星系及其恒星和星团、遥远的类星体、伽马射线暴、宇宙大尺度结构等。2.4米光学望远镜自2008年5月投入试运行至今以来,截至2013年12月31日,已经执行了总计1224观测夜的科学任务,积累原始观测数据达到6.6TB(其中YFOSC 4.1T,LiJET 1T, PI CCD 1T,Andor CCD 0.5T)。基于2.4米光学望远镜的数据已经发表科学论文58篇。天体图像,数据文件为天文FITS原始图像。
The 2.4-meter optical astronomical telescope is affiliated to the Lijiang Astronomical Observatory of Yunnan Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is currently the largest general-purpose optical astronomical telescope in China and East Asia, located in Gaomeigu, Lijiang, Yunnan, with geographical coordinates of 100°01′51″ east longitude, 26°42′32″ north latitude, and an altitude of 3193 meters. It is an altazimuth reflecting telescope equipped with Cassegrain focus and Nasmyth focus, with a primary mirror diameter of 2.4 meters. Benefiting from the excellent astronomical observation conditions of the Lijiang Observatory and the good optical quality of the telescope, the limiting magnitude of faint celestial objects observable by this instrument reaches 25 mag. Its main observation targets include exoplanets, stars within the Milky Way, nearby galaxies and their associated stars and star clusters, distant quasars, gamma-ray bursts, and large-scale cosmic structures, etc. Since its trial operation in May 2008 up to December 31, 2013, it has completed a total of 1224 scientific observation nights, accumulating 6.6 TB of original observation data (4.1 TB from YFOSC, 1 TB from LiJET, 1 TB from PI CCD, and 0.5 TB from Andor CCD). A total of 58 scientific papers have been published based on the data collected by this 2.4-meter optical telescope. The celestial image data are stored as original astronomical FITS files.
