Beneficial effects of Allulose for age-associated sarcopenia

Allulose has been shown to moderate obese related dysmetabolism. In previous study, we found that allulose increased the muscle weight in diet-induced obese mice. It is there for hypothesized that allulose alleviated sarcopenia. The 12 month old mice were fed AIN93G with allulose. Allulose supplementation improved the muscle loss in aging mice. Overall design: Total RNA of muscle tissue was obtained from normal diet, normal diet and with-allulose in aging mice model and mRNA expression-associated with protein turnover and inflammation was measured.
