Mahoney Lake chemocline metagenomic assembly - uncultured Chromatiaceae sp. Assembled metagenomic scaffolds were binned using tetranucleotide frequency and emergent self-organizing maps. This genomic bin, was identified as an uncultured Chromatiaceae sp. and re-assembly of reads mapping to this bin resulted in the genomic assembly presented here. The Chromatiaceae sp., ML_Gamma, is the dominant purple sulfur bacteria in the chemocline of Mahoney Lake in British Columbia, Canada.
