改革开放后，我国大跨步由计划经济转为市场经济，一方面对沿海城市实行更宽松的政策，引进外资兴办工厂企业，另一方面也放松户籍管理制度，使得政府增加了税收，促进了就业，同时利用外资或合资企业里获得的相关经验和技术，带动了本土企业以及关联企业发展。  在这样的时代背景下，一大批新公司成立、存活、并得到持续发展，但风险也随之而来，部分企业打着名目繁多的旗号招摇撞骗，但由于信息不对称的存在，人们无法识别出哪些企业是真正的好企业，哪些企业是存在问题的高风险企业。为此，国家工商总局选择将企业信息公开披露，从而大大提高了企业的信息透明度。这类信息不仅包括企业主营业务分类、注册地址、注册资金、注册日期等信息，还包括大量的包括知识产权、失信人情况、风险预警等信息，为研究中国企业生存状况、行业覆盖和市场活力等方面的问题提供了极佳的研究数据支撑。

Following the Reform and Opening-up, China rapidly transitioned from a planned economy to a market economy. On one hand, more lenient policies were implemented in coastal cities to attract foreign capital for the establishment of factories and enterprises; on the other hand, the household registration system was relaxed. These measures boosted government tax revenue, promoted employment, and leveraged the experience and technology acquired from foreign-funded or joint ventures to drive the development of local and affiliated enterprises.

Against this historical backdrop, a large number of new companies were established, survived and achieved sustainable development, yet risks also emerged. Some enterprises engaged in fraud under various pretexts. Due to information asymmetry, the public was unable to distinguish between genuinely high-quality enterprises and problematic high-risk ones. To address this issue, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) decided to publicly disclose enterprise information, which greatly improved the information transparency of enterprises.

This type of information includes not only basic details such as enterprises' main business categories, registered addresses, registered capital and registration dates, but also a large volume of additional data including intellectual property rights, enterprise dishonesty records, risk warnings and more. This dataset provides excellent research data support for studies on issues such as the survival status of Chinese enterprises, industry coverage and market vitality.
