Reference site conditions for floating wind arrays: dataset of reference sites for IDEA-IRL

This dataset contains atmospheric and oceanographic data for 3 of the 4 site locations chosen as reference sites for the IDEA-IRL project (the Integrated Design of Floating Wind Arrays - Ireland). This project is being undertaken in collaboration with IEA Wind Task 49 (IDEA). Data for the 4th site - Moneypoint One - was previously published for the IEA Wind Task 49 @ https://zenodo.org/records/11073986. 

Each dataset was used to perform a metocean analysis for preliminary design, published in IDEA-IRL WP1 reporting available @ https://www.marei.ie/project/idea-irl-integrated-design-floating-wind/. 

The defined reference site conditions will be used to inform the design of reference floating wind farms for the IDEA-IRL project. 

The relevant sites are included in the table below.
