资源简介:

Soil biochar application represents an effective strategy for enhancing carbon sequestration and mitigating greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission. While extensive research has focused on the ecological impacts of biochar, the influence of application frequency on GHG emissions remains poorly understood. To elucidate this mechanism, we collected a multifactorial dataset from an upland yellow soil following three years of biochar application (single vs. continuous application). We measured CO2, N2O and CH4 emission using static chamber gas chromatography. In addition, we determined the soil’s physical, chemical and biological properties, including soil bulk density, soil water content, pH, electrical conductivity, soil organic carbon, soil microbial biomass carbon, soil microbial biomass nitrogen and activities of soil phosphatase, sucrase, catalase and urease. This is a multifactorial dataset with GHGs emission and soil attributes which can be (re)used to answer questions regarding the mechanisms of the mitigating GHGs emission by biochar application in agroecosystem.
