Tree Data Set Fall 2016, Adult and Sapling Species of Tree

This data set was taken in the fall of 2016 in the haverhill forest. We chose a single species of tree in this forest and then walked in a completely random direction on a transect. Here we recorded the data of the adult tree, we measured the circumference of the adult tree taken at breast height in cm, this is also known as cbh. The distance to the closest sapling of this particular species was the recorded and the cbh of the sapling was also recorded in cm. This was done a total of ten times. Afterwards the dbh of the sapling and the adult species was calculated. dbh is the diameter of the species which can be calculated by taking the circumference or cbh and divided by pi.
