NRS-19731 | Admission registers [Brush Farm Infants Home, Eastwood]

This series consists of two admission registers for Brush Farm Infants Home at Eastwood, which was opened in the grounds of Brush Farm Home in November 1968.The format of each register is a week to a page, sorted by week ending, with individual entries made chronologically by admission date. Details recorded include date of admission, name, date of birth, age, SC 107 number, religion, indication of type of admission (e.g. transfer, foster parent), from whom received (name and relationship), and address. There is also a column labelled as 'new committals, offence or complaint' which was sometimes used to record either the type of disability suffered by the resident or any other relevant remarks (e.g. temporary overnight care).The register ceases at the point where the infants home became a home for the temporary residential care of handicapped children.
