NEON prototype litter chemistry data from TREE and BART, 2020 - site level pooling, all functional groups

This dataset contains prototype data from 2020 where litter samples from 2 NEON sites were pooled at the site level by functional group for all bouts and analyzed for chemistry. The package includes a prototype SOP, chemistry data files, and a presentation describing results. Based on prototype findings that it was important to capture chemistry of non-leaf and needle functional groups, NEON decided to revise the standard litter sampling protocol to include measurement of these other material types from 2022 onward.
