Molecular study about the circadian clock of a micro green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; The unicellular green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii shows a various circadian rhythms in behavior and physiology including phototaxis, chemotaxis, the cell division cycle, UV sensitivity, stickiness to glass (changes in properties of the cell surface), and starch content are observed in this alga. Although Chlamydomonas clock molecule components were revealed by forward and reverse genetic approach, precise mechanism to show circadian clock is still unclear. In this project, we investigate the DNA binding features of several clock molecules using ChIP analysis.
