资源简介:
Gram-positive anaerobic cocci (GPAC) are a diverse group of bacteria frequently associated with polymicrobial infections, such as abscesses and soft tissue infections. Among these, the genus Anaerococcus has gained attention due to its high prevalence in diabetic foot ulcers, where it may play a significant role in infection pathogenesis. In this study, Anaerococcus sp. strain AH8042_DFU013_CI05 was isolated from a diabetes-related foot ulcer at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, Australia. The complete genome of this strain was sequenced using Oxford Nanopore technology. Phylogenomic analysis, including 14 known Anaerococcus species, suggests that strain AH8042_DFU013_CI05 represents an evolutionarily distinct lineage within the genus.
