Single-Cell Transcriptomic Profiling of subpopulations of vascular endothelial cells following acute lung injury

We utilized high-throughput single-cell transcriptomics to identify endothelial subpopulations and track their responses to inflammatory injury. Single cell RNA-sequencing of 35,973 lung endothelial cells were obtained during homeostasis and defined injury time points ( 6 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 7 days) following systemic in vivo exposure to the bacterial endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
