Rifampicin resistance mutations in E. coli rpoB gene and their effect on transcription in different nutrient environments

Whole genome sequencing of 11 lab evolved rifampicin-resistant E. coli isolates and the WT parent strain (a tolC KO from the Keio collection), each with a single substitution mutation in rpoB. RNA-Seq analysis was then carried out on the WT and 3 mutants, in 2 different media environments, to investigate the effect of those rpoB mutations on transcription.
