Data for Determinants of Perceived Accessibility and Aviation Climate Policy: A Latent Class Analysis of Leisure Air Travelers in the Netherlands

The datasets were used for examining the determinants of perceived accessibility by air transportation and assesses how more ambitious climate aviation policies may affect Dutch leisure travelers’ perceived access to long-distance vacation destinations. A hierarchical information integration framework is applied, combining latent class choice modeling based on stated vacation choice data with linear regression analysis of destination attractiveness ratings. The stated choice experiment includes attributes related to air transportation characteristics and a destination attractiveness attribute. Data for analyzing the contributing factors to destination attractiveness was collected through a destination attractiveness rating task. Data collection was approved the human research ethics committee at TU Delft.
