Gene expression after treatment in a 3D lung tumor model in comparison to conventional 2D cell culture. Homo sapiens

Gene expression of a 3D model for the treatment of EGFR mutated lung tumors (HCC827 cell line, sensitive to gefitinib, and A549 cells, insensitive to gefitinib) was analysed and compared to the same treatment effects in the cell lines when cultured under 2D conditions. Overall design: Global expression profiling of two culture conditions, two treatment groups in two cell lines differing in EGFR activating mutation status.
