季节雨林为热带地区的最为稳定的顶极演替群落，其森林生态服务价值高。森林凋落物的回收量和现存量可以反映出森林凋落物的季节及年变化规律以及植物生长过程中林木的新陈代谢情况。中国科学院西双版纳热带生态系统研究站自加入中国生态系统研究网络（CERN）以来，在西双版纳热带季节雨林综合观测场永久样地（简称热带季节雨林）定期收集记录凋落物数据。本数据集整理了2005–2020年的热带季节雨林凋落物收回量和现存量数据，以期为深入研究热带雨季节雨林的凋落物动态研究提供本底数据，为该地区的森林保护及生态系统功能评价提供基础支撑。

Seasonal rainforest is the most stable climax succession community in tropical regions, boasting high forest ecosystem service values. The collection amount and standing stock of forest litter can reflect the seasonal and annual variation patterns of forest litter, as well as the metabolic status of trees during their growth. Since joining the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN), the Xishuangbanna Tropical Ecosystem Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has regularly collected and documented litter data in the permanent plot of the Xishuangbanna Tropical Seasonal Rainforest Comprehensive Observation Site (abbreviated as Tropical Seasonal Rainforest). This dataset compiles the litter collection amount and standing stock data of tropical seasonal rainforest from 2005 to 2020, aiming to provide baseline data for in-depth research on litter dynamics of tropical seasonal rainforests, and offer fundamental support for forest conservation and ecosystem function assessment in this region.
