This paper crosses the theoretical problem of proper name in linguistics regarding the translation of personal names. The different strategies of onomastic adaptation are focused following the theory of translation as a fuzzy set suggested by Giuliana Garzone. The study case of how Disney characters' names are translated in Italian is also approached, expanding models and motivations underlying their linguistic choices and creations.
