Quantifying and mapping the supply of and demand for carbon storage and sequestration service from urban trees

This is a GIS dataset of the supply of and demand for carbon storage and sequestration service from urban trees in a portion of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area (TCMA) of Minnesota, USA. It is a vector shapefile that contains data on the number of trees, supply of carbon storage (kgC), annual carbon sequestration (kgC), the net annual demand for carbon sequestration (kgC), the amount of carbon emitted due to mortality (kgC), the amount of carbon sequestrated due to replanting and tree growth (kgC), and the demand for carbon sequestration from seven sectors (kgCO2), including agricultural, commercial, electric utility, industrial, residential, transportation and waste, as well as the ratio of carbon sequestration supply and demand. All data are summaried by census tract.
