Export and competitiveness in the green bean (Phaseolus luna-tus) production chain in an agricultural cooperative in Mórrope -Perú
收藏资源简介:
This research contributes to improving competitiveness in the production chain process, aligning with SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The overall objective is to identify export strategies that will enable the production chain of lima beans from an agricultural cooperative in Morrope to become competitive by 2025. Methodologically, a mixed approach was taken, with a sequential explanatory design and descriptive scope. Surveys were conducted with a sample of 95 farmer members, interviews were conducted with five specialists, and a systematic review of 44 scientific studies was carried out. The results revealed that half of the producer members achieve competitive levels, with gaps remaining in technology, standardisation, and compliance with SPS regulations for entering international markets. In addition, strategies for product and market diversification, associativity, marketing, quality, and sustainability for export were identified. It was concluded that the competitiveness of the pallar depends on a sequential model to strengthen its technical, organisational, and commercial capacities in order to transition to a differentiated and sustainable exportable supply.
