This dataset are used to plot figures in the article “Development and cancellation of long-duration positive ionospheric storms: both changes of the F2-layer peak height and O/N2 ratio can be decisive".Data files in CSV (comma-separated values) and txt format contain modeling and observational values.Modeling values obtained from the Field Line Interhemispheric Plasma (FLIP) model. Observational values consist the ionosonde, GNSS receivers (TEC) and the Global Ultraviolet Imager (GUVI) on the NASA Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energy and Dynamics (TIMED) satellite measurements (O/N2). The planetary geomagnetic index (Kp) is from the World Data Center for Geomagnetism, Kyoto.The SYM/H index and zonal component of the magnetospheric electric field are taken from the OMNIWeb. Data files contain data for the period from February 25 to March 1, 2023.
