FIELD: woodworking industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry， in particular to the production of constructional sawn timber from round timber with core rot. Longitudinal cutting of round timber (1) having core rot is performed. When cutting round timber parallel to the longitudinal axis， two-edge cant (2) is obtained， which includes core rot， and side lumber (3). Then， lengthwise cutting of the two-edge cant is performed parallel to the run to produce a four-edge cant of variable cross-section containing core rot. Further， the four-edge cant is divided along the core into four equal parts. After drying of parts， removal of rot and milling of longitudinal surfaces， billets of angle cross-section are obtained. Produced billets are turned relative to each other by 180° and connected in pairs to structural sawn timber cross-section in form of U-section.
