Replication Data for: Compensatory Consumption Under Control Deprivation: A Regulatory Focus Perspective

This dataset supports the findings of the study titled "Control Deprivation and Compensatory Consumption: The Role of Regulatory Focus and Coping Strategies," which investigates how individuals experiencing a loss of control diverge in their preferences for material versus experiential purchases. Through a series of four experimental studies (Studies 1A, 1B, 2, and 3), the research examines the moderating role of regulatory focus (prevention vs. promotion) and the mediating role of coping strategies (problem-focused vs. emotion-focused).
