AORTIC ANEURYSM: PATHOGENESIS, THREAT OF RUPTURE, AND MODERN APPROACHES TO THERAPY

The article examines current concepts of aortic aneurysm as one of the most dangerous pathologies of the cardiovascular system. The anatomical and physiological features of the aorta, the main mechanisms of aneurysm formation, and key pathogenetic factors are described. Modern methods of diagnosis and monitoring of aortic aneurysms are presented, and conservative and surgical treatment approaches, including open surgical repair, are discussed. Conclusions are drawn regarding the importance of a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach in the prevention of complications and reduction of mortality associated with aortic aneurysm.
