Mycobacterium pseudoshottsii strain:AR Genome sequencing and assembly

In late 2019, an outbreak of infections with clinical symptoms related to mycobacteriosis was recorded in Argyrosomus regius (AR) fish reared in aquacultures. Most of the diseased fish showed granulomatous lesions observed mainly in the spleen with numerous acid fast bacteria present. We succeeded in isolating this causative agent from tissues of diseased fish and we hereby report the draft genome sequence of Mycobacterium pseudoshottsii strain AR.
