资源简介:
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is a climate-resilient cereal widely cultivated for food, forage, and biofuel. While the BTx623 reference genome has served as a foundational resource, it does not capture the full extent of structural and gene content variation present in elite U.S. breeding lines and their wild relatives. This project presents a long-read-based pangenome constructed from 46 ex-Plant Variety Protected (ex-PVP) sorghum lines and 25 wild accessions. Using haplotype-resolved assemblies, we identify presence-absence variation (PAV), structural variants (SV), and selective sweeps associated with traits such as flowering time, stress tolerance, and plant architecture. The dataset includes raw sequencing reads and supports genomic discovery, trait mapping, and breeding of sorghum for diverse environments and end uses.
