There are nearly 30,000 slides and 5000 vials of over 88,000 roundworm specimens in the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids, and Nematodes (CNC).
This checklist is based on a subset of CNC’s nematode (roundworm) accessions from Canada’s provinces and territories. This checklist is not exhaustive; nematodes regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are purposefully removed from this compilation. Scientific names were cross-referenced against valid and accepted names indicated in Nemys, the World Database of Nematodes.
