Whole genome amplification of Salmonella in mixed environmental communities

Assessment of the sensitivity and detection of Salmonella spp. in mixed microbially communities following whole meta-/genome amplification (WMA/WGA). Culture-independent approaches, such as (WMA/WGA) are often used to increase target DNA in samples with low quantity/low target DNA. The resulting amplification products may be used in downstream applications such as pathogen detection and genotyping.
