Seasonal profiles of Dissolved Nickel, Copper, and Zinc from research cruises for the Northern Gulf of Alaska LTER site, 2018-2023

Dissolved nickel, copper and zinc are essential nutrient for phytoplankton, and their availability influences phytoplankton community composition. The dataset contains profiles of these dissolved metals (< 0.2 micron) collected from the Northern Gulf of Alaska from 2018-2023 using a trace metal clean CTD rosette with modified external spring Niskin bottles (profile data), and a towed "fish" sampler with tubing attached to an air-actuated pump that transfers the water from the surface to a sampling station on the ship (surface data). The variable included is dFe (dissolved iron) with units in nanomoles of iron per liter of seawater (nM). Data was generated after preconcentration using a seaFast system and ICPMS detection.
