RNA from fast muscle samples of 5 Sparus aurata (Gilthead seabream) individuals per run were pooled into one sample, then cDNA was synthesised using the Evrogen SMART cDNA synthesis service. The cDNA was sequenced on the Roche 454 titanium platform. The resulting reads were assembled using Roche Newbler 2.5.1 assembler and BLAST mapped to the non-redundant protein dataset.
