Clinical patterns, severity, management and outcomes of febrile illnesses in sub-Saharan Africa: FISSA (Fever In Sub-Saharan Africa)

This is a multicenter, prospective, observational cohort study of adults and children presenting at emergency rooms or outpatient consultations with a febrile illness (with or without localizing features) in 16 care centers across West, Central and East Africa.

The study describe the epidemiology, clinical patterns, severity, management, and outcomes of patients with febrile illnesses using data collected from routine diagnostic and treatment practice. Each patient will be followed for 21 days
