CRU TS v4.09 Monthly Potential Evapotranspiration Data (1901–2024)

This file contains monthly gridded estimates of potential evapotranspiration (PET) from the Climatic Research Unit Time-Series (CRU TS) Version 4.09 dataset, covering global land areas from 1901 to 2024. The data are provided in NetCDF format and compressed using gzip. Each 0.5° grid cell records PET in millimeters per month, calculated using the Penman-Monteith method or related algorithms. PET is a critical variable for hydrological modeling, drought monitoring, agricultural planning, and climate impact studies. This dataset enables long-term analysis of atmospheric water demand and trends in terrestrial climate dynamics.
