Replication package for: Slavery and Development in Nineteenth Century Brazil

The replication materials contain a README file, a single STATA dataset ("Capitalism_Palma_etal_final.dta"), and a single do-file ("Capitalism_Palma_etal_dofile_final.do"). The do-file in this replication package for Palma, Papadia, Pereira and Weller (2021) reproduces the analysis from the data sources described in the published paper, using STATA. There is a single do-file that runs the code for all regression tables in the paper.
