Parking in an Urban Environment

Brampton has become a fast growing urban centre, with an ever increasing amount of vehicles on it's roads, which leads to a problem: where do we put all of the cars? Parking is a daily concern of many citizens and visitors alike, and is reflected in the data we've collected. Drivers are faced with transitioning from parking at home to parking on private and public property both on the street and in parking lots; all carrying their own rules and considerations. This Story Map will take you through the trends and hot spots we've discovered in our parking penalties data. By incorporating open data, images, infographics and maps, you'll start to get a sense of how parking impacts everyone, and how all drivers need to be aware of and respectful towards accessible parking spaces.
