资源简介:
Data in this collection includes derived products from the California Harmful Algae Risk Mapping (C-HARM) model (Anderson et al., 2016) and EcoCast model. We used the nowcast C-HARM data of the probability of (1) Pseudo-nitzschia concentrations in excess of 10,000 cells/L, (2) particulate domoic acid in excess of 500 nanograms/L, and (3) cellular domoic acid in excess of 10 picograms/cell in California and Southern Oregon coastal water. The EcoCast Map product is a novel fishery sustainability tool that helps fishers and managers better evaluate how to allocate fishing effort to optimize the catch of target species (e.g. swordfish) while minimizing the accidental bycatch of blue sharks and protected species (leatherback sea turtles, California sea lions). The datasets span from 2014 to 2021. The original EcoCast product is a 25 km product but was regridded to match the C-HARM product which is a 3 km satellite imagery product. For the purposes of this project, the data has been bounded at longitude -125 to -116.5 and latitude 31.5 to 42.5. This submission includes 3 data tables.: (1) LTM_OOS_MPA_CHARM_allparams_summary.csv which includes spatial summaries of C-HARM data for MPAs by bioregion. (2) LTM_OOS_MPA_CHARM_heatmap_data.csv which includes monthly summaries of C-HARM data for MPAs by bioregion. (3) LTM_OOS_MPA_monthly_risk_summary.csv which includes the mean proportion of MPAs by bioregion which meet both the criteria of C-HARM probability of cellular domoic acid concentrations in excess of 10 picograms/cell > 0.6 and EcoCAST Relative Bycatch:Target Catch Probability Product < 0 threshold plots.
