The selected
method of catalyst preparation is shown, biodiesel was produced from both
co-precipitation method and wet impregnation and fuel quality was accessed. Here,
these two methods were initially tried and accessed for the best method to use
and optimise.
Catalyst raw
materials and the synthesis bifunctional catalyst were characterised using BET,
XRD, FTIR, as illustrated in the spreadsheets namely CaO, Al2O3,
and 75CaO/25Al2O3 characterisation.
Biodiesel
Feedstocks were analysed through Gas Chromatography, the saturated and
unsaturated fatty acids of fresh and waste sunflower and palm oils are shown in
spreadsheet named fatty acids characterisations.
In the
properties characterisations spreadsheet, the fuel properties of the produced
sunflower and palm biodiesel is evident. Here, Viscosity, Density, Total acid
number, Flash point, Oxidation stability, Soot, Sulphates, Nitrates, and glycol
is shown.
Elemental
content present within each biodiesel is shown in spreadsheet named Elemental
Analysis _ICP_OES. Here, Sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Iron,
Phosphorus, Aluminium, Zinc, Copper and Sulphur is shown in mg/l
