SBF-SEM of the Trichuris muris Stichosome
收藏资源简介:
This image stack is a Serial Blockface Scanning Electron Microscopy (SBF-SEM) acquisition of the Trichuris muris stichosome. Structures of interest included within the data are the stichosome, bacillary pores and cells, sensory neurons and cuticular inflations. The worm was taken from a mouse host (Severe Combined Immunodeficient on a BALB/c background), and sample preparation was carried out according to Deerinck et al. (2010). Imaging was carried out on a Quanta 250 FEG (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Massachusetts), with the blockface recorded at 3.8kV, spot size 3.5 and pressure of 0.4Torr. Pixel size of the lateral plain was 12 nm. Slice thickness was 100 nm.
