资源简介:
Metallic glasses (MGs), with their disordered atomic structure and exceptional properties, represent a central focus in amorphous materials research. Recent studies have revealed complex phenomena in these materials, including re-entrant glass transitions, emergence of multiple relaxation processes and polyamorphism, i.e. the existence of different amorphous states of the same composition. Although the large effort done in the last years, the microscopic dynamics and structural mechanisms at the origin of these complex phenomena remain poorly understood. By combining three different experimental teams formed by experienced and new users, we propose to investigate the microscopic structure-dynamics relations involved in these processes by combining XPCS and XRD with the rapid heating and cooling capabilities of fast differential scanning calorimetry (FDSC) in order to perform complex thermal paths and get complementary thermodynamic informations.
