This dataset consists of two years (2022-2023) of coastal wetland automated soil redox measurements and accompanying tidal data, including water level and salinity, as well as terrestrial groundwater level data. Coastal wetland data were collected from the ambient control plots in SMARTX, a long-term experiment in Smithsonian’s Global Change Research Wetland (GCReW), part of Kirkpatrick Marsh in Edgewater, MD. Redox data was collected using platinum-ringed probes at 5 and 20 cm below the soil surface every 30 min from 2022 to 2023 and marsh water level data was collected every 15 min using an AquaTROLL 200. Terrestrial groundwater level data were collected from the adjacent Terrestrial Ecosystem Manipulation to Probe the Effects of Storm Treatments (TEMPEST) experiment (Hopple et al., 2023). Groundwater level was measured using an AquaTROLL 600 multiparameter sonde deployed in groundwater wells in the center of the control plot, which does not receive flood manipulation treatments.
